The best way to get around Los Cabos is by rental car. You can rent a car at Los Cabos International Airport, or from within Cabo San Lucas. There are taxis available throughout the region, but these can be costly — be sure to negotiate your price before accepting a ride. In addition, water taxis can be hired to take you to some of Los Cabos’ most famous beaches.
The best time to visit Los Cabos is from May to June, and after the rainy season has ended in October.
Spending time on the sparkling, turquoise waters that surround Mexico’s Baja California peninsula — where Los Cabos is located — is a must, whether you opt for kayaking, surfing, snorkelling or scuba diving, or simply taking a leisurely dip. Be sure to visit the stunning Arco de Cabo San Lucas, a beautiful arched rock formation at Land’s End, where the famous Cortez Sea meets the Pacific Ocean. Animal lovers may also wish to book a whale-watching excursion; grey whales are often spotted off the coast of Los Cabos. Check out Cabo Pulmo National Park, too, where snorkellers and divers will love the opportunity to check out the stunning coral reefs and myriad types of tropical fish that live within them.

The weather in Los Cabos is hot year-round. In the hotter months, from June to October, daily temperatures average around 32 degrees Celsius; in the cooler months, from November to May, temperatures are around 27 degrees Celsius.
