Concierge Director

About You:

You have a passion for travel and understand the high level of service that guests booking a luxury vacation expect. You have travel industry and concierge experience. You are an inspirational leader with management experience. You are hardworking, creative, resourceful and understand the latest luxury travel trends that guests are looking for.

What You'll Do:

Rental Escapes is one the biggest villa wholesalers in the world, and our Concierge department is looking for a Director to lead its team. You will manage, coach and guide the Concierge team that is in charge of planning all the activities and services for our villa rental guests, including private chefs, food prestocking, yachts, island tours, live music, restaurant reservations, excursions, spa services etc. You will find new suppliers for Concierge activities around the world and will create new custom experiences that the team can offer.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Concierge department to ensure the team is delivering top notch service to our guests
  • Implement quality control standards for the team
  • Train and coach the team, and answer destination/supplier related questions
  • Meet and/or exceed company goals while maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer service
  • Research, vet and contract new suppliers in new and existing destinations
  • Develop new, creative, luxury experiences that the concierge team can offer our guests
  • Develop strong rapport with Suppliers and Property Managers
  • Communicate with other departments, including Reservations, Marketing and IT
  • Develop sound knowledge of our destinations

Experience:

  • 3 minimum years of management experience
  • 3 minimum years of Travel industry specific experience, preferably within the luxury/high end segment
  • Event Planning experience is an asset
  • Phone sales and/or suggestive selling experience is an asset
  • Organization skills: ability to multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; French and other languages are a plus
  • Sound computer proficiency and strength with MS office tools required
