Hvar is the number-one holder of Croatia’s superlatives: it’s the most luxurious island, the sunniest place in the country (2724 sunny hours each year) and, along with Dubrovnik, the most popular tourist destination. Hvar Town, the island’s capital, is all about swanky hotels, elegant restaurants, trendy bars and clubs, posh yachts and a general sense that, if you care about seeing and being seen, this is the place to be. The island’s hub and busiest destination,

Visitors wander along the main square, explore the sights on the winding stone streets, swim on the numerous beaches or pop off to the Pakleni Islands to get into their birthday suits, but most of all they party at night. If you take the old road from Town Hvar you will reach Brusje after some 3 km. The village itself is very much known after its production of lavender and rosemary eteric oils. Not only the ambience of such a picturesque place but the scents and the fresh air together with the view at the nearby islands will make your stay rather impressive.

Away from this town Hvar hustle and bustle, in quiet and just perfect place, surrounded by old stone walls and its own olive grove, located on almost 7000m² of blissful privacy its place has found spectacular Villa Mediterranea Hvar.

This villa is certainly one of the most attractive on the island. Just 3 kilometres away from the excitement and energy that provides the center of Hvar town, Villa Mediterranea Hvar is an ideal quiet retreat that can accommodate up to 16 persons - family members, friends or business associates who will spend their holiday in complete privacy. The interior of this authentic Villa Mediteranea Hvar consists of two floors – ground and first floor. Villa has 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, a sauna, gym, heated swimming pool and a fully equipped summer kitchen.

Only 2 minutes away, on both sides of the villa, there are three north bays where you can enjoy yourself in the sea or find your private corner for a swim. Whether you are relaxing on the terrace, enjoy a swim in the pool or preparing a barbecue, you will be surrounded by a view worth a million dollars. By comparison, as if you're sitting in the front row of the private cinema with wide-screen views of the sea, islands and famous sunsets of the sunniest island – island Hvar.

In addition to the foregoing comfort and luxury, this villa is completely energy independent with respect to its solar panels and windmills that produce energy from the sun that shines 2718 hours per year, and of frequent wind. Your batteries on holiday will be filling this particular view of the vastness of the sea, which both relaxes and inspires. If the view and deckchairs are not relaxing enough, in front of the terrace extends a heated pool and barbecue area where you can hold pool parties or to enjoy the intimacy of the covered part of a large wooden table only with your family or close circle of friends.

Hvar, Croatia

Hvar, the island in the Adriatic Sea, is the longest and the sunniest Croatian island and one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It is a part of the central Dalmatian archipelago with an area of 299,6m². The island Hvar is famous for its pleasant Mediterranean climate. Maximum temperatures are never too high to render agriculture impossible. Friendly people, well-indented coast, numerous picturesque and intact beaches and bays, virgin nature, very rich historical and cultural inheritance, the scents of lavender, olive trees and wine are the reasons that island Hvar welcomes more and more tourists each year.

Long, lean Hvar is vaguely shaped like the profile of a holidaymaker reclining on a sun lounger, which is altogether appropriate for the sunniest spot in the country and its most luxurious beach destination. Hvar's interior hides abandoned ancient hamlets, craggy peaks, vineyards and the lavender fields that the island is famous for. It’s worth exploring on a day trip, as is the southern end of the island, which has some of Hvar’s most beautiful and isolated coves.

The city of Hvar is a unique fusion of luxurious Mediterranean nature, rich cultural and historical heritage, and mundane, tourist present. It is situated in picturesque nature, facing the southern, side of the world that has given it all Mediterranean attraction and cheerfulness; facing the sea, that gave it splendid and repeatable history, Hvar is an inexhaustible treasury of the scenery, atmosphere and adventure. Its name derives from the Greek name for island and town, that stood where today Stari Grad (Hvar became an island’s centre in 13th century) stands - PHAROS. Hvar gained glory and power during the middle ages being an important port within the Venetian, naval empire. Today, it is the centre of the island’s tourism and one of the favourite destinations in Dalmatian riviera - a town of smiling and courteous people, who are almost only dedicated to tourism. Visitors wander along the main square, explore the sights on the winding stone streets, swim at the numerous beaches or pop off to the Pakleni Islands to get into their birthday suits – but most of all they come to party. Hvar's reputation as Croatia's premier party town is well deserved. There are several good restaurants, bars and hotels here.
