Thatch Hill is an inviting 4-bedroom villa on Grand Cayman’s North Side, just a 5-minute walk east of the Rum Point Club, offering a perfect balance of seclusion and convenience.
This beachfront villa boasts stunning views of the sparkling Caribbean Sea, a large freshwater pool, and a spacious full-width screened porch with an outdoor dining table for sunset dinners and drinks. A protective reef just off the pool deck provides excellent snorkeling and kayaking opportunities.
The interiors are bright and sunny, designed with a relaxed beach house vibe. An open floor plan divides the villa, featuring a large vaulted great room at the center and bedroom suites on either side. The living area includes a comfortable sofa and loveseat, a large HDTV, and walkout access to the screened porch.
The newly renovated kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, an island breakfast bar, a dining table for six, and all the essentials, including dishware, glassware, cookware, and cutlery. A charcoal grill is also provided for outdoor cooking.
For work-from-home professionals, high-speed fiber WIFI internet ensures reliable connectivity for multiple users and devices, making remote work and learning seamless.
Beach Notes
The entire island of Grand Cayman is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never far from anywhere on the island.
The oceanfront homes in Rum Point offer beautiful, tranquil, quiet beaches and great reef-protected snorkeling. The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but can also have spots of rocky “ironshore” with natural rock formations. There can also be occasional seaweed. The closer you get to Rum Point, usually the sandier the beach.
With the abundant marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear pool shoes or fins for foot protection.
Another big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, abundant water sports, a restaurant bar and grill, a gift shop and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar, and marina.
Lastly, we have two large resorts in the east end (Morritt's and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, a Subway sandwich shop, and a cafe/pastry shop. These resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfing, kiteboarding, oceanfront pools, and bar service.
General Grand Cayman Beach Notes
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.
The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris and Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. We try our best to work around mother nature.
