Inspiring, luxurious, and peaceful are just a few words we'd use to describe the blissful elegance you'll find at Koha Kai.
Eye-catching details can be found throughout the home, from the vaulted ceilings to the sleek marble floors. Find your zen as you lounge by the impressive infinity pool or relax under the sandy beach cabana by the sea. Escape to the roof to indulge in the heated spa as the sun paints the sky pink, marking the end of another day in paradise.
Right as you walk into this stunning retreat, you'll see the beautiful blues of the Caribbean through the two stories of glass. Step inside the Bali-inspired great room that you'll never want to leave. Around the corner is the gourmet kitchen with a massive island, perfect for an in-villa cooking class. With a kitchen as stunning as this one, cooking is no longer a chore.
Once the chef hat comes off, head to the villa's oceanfront dining room, where three sides of glass provide gorgeous views while you dine at a custom-built mahogany table for 12.
At Koha Kai, the outdoors are just as dazzling as the interiors. Feel as though you've been transported to an exclusive Balinese resort as you walk out onto your private pool deck. Find your own peaceful getaway in the hammocks, outdoor couches, or beach cabana. There is no limit to calming spots at this blissful getaway.
Additionally, there is a detached 2-bedroom bungalow with a king suite and bunk suite for kids; it shares a fenced-in private garden perfect for playtime.
Beach Notes
The white sand beach behind Koha Kai is natural, barefoot beach sand. Facing southwest, the water behind Koha Kai is typically clear and calm, but the ocean floor here is soft. For barefoot white sand swimming, we recommend Starfish Point (500 yard walk) or enjoying the perfect white sand beach at the Rum Point Club (1 minute drive - 15 minute easy walk)
The beach is a fantastic spot to launch kayak and paddleboard adventures, snorkel, see starfish (please don’t pick them up), play beach games or just hang out with family and friends. Your Koha Kai beach is also a great place to enjoy morning coffee or watch the sunset from the thatched cabana with your toes in the sand and a beverage in your hand! This quiet area faces south so in winter months when weather patterns might bring winds from the north or east, the beach & pool areas tend to be quite calm. You can easily walk to Starfish Point (4 minutes), Kaibo Beach Club (5 minutes), and Rum Point (15 minutes).
Nature
Nature is all around you at Koha Kai and is always changing, as nature does.
The beach is a natural beach meaning there will be shells and small coral in the sand. There is also turtle grass in the water. Turtle grass is a natural habitat and nutrition source for starfish and other marine life. Some days, the starfish population turns out in droves to enjoy the space.
General Beach Notes
All beaches on Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high watermark. Unlike some other areas on the island, the Koha Kai shoreline remains consistent year-round and public foot traffic varies from minimal to non-existent.
Most areas of the Caribbean have been affected by Sargassum, a seasonal floating seaweed. Grand Cayman is no different. However, the sound that forms the beach and water of Koha Kai has been spared the presence of floating seaweed as of this writing.

From sunrise to sunset, there’s always something to do in Cayman Kai, a residential resort community where smiling neighbors will become your new friends.
Start your day by visiting Kaibo Beach Espresso for a cup of organic coffee and breakfast. Or, stroll or bike ride to the Rum Point Club, it takes just minutes. Stop by to enjoy the white sands and clear, shallow waters, or to explore the shoreline by wave runner, paddleboat or jet ski. When all that adventure leaves you hungry, the onsite Wreck Bar & Grill serves up lunch (and world famous Mudslides) on seaside picnic tables or will deliver dishes straight to your seaside hammock.
Although quiet and peaceful, Cayman Kai livens up in the evening – you’ll notice your neighbors making their way to spots like Kaibo Beach Bar or Kaibo Upstairs for great food and company. Every Tuesday they host a Barefoot Beach BBQ that attracts visitors and locals alike. After dinner, return to your private home and spend the evening surrounded by your loved ones.
Little ones will love exploring Starfish Point Beach. Starfish dot the tideline at this pristine spot with gentle waters.

Relaxing escape with all the perfect amenities!
Our large, family vacation was one we'd love to repeat someday at Kempa Kai. The house was perfectly furnished, decorated and equipped for our group of 7 adults and 6 kids. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the pool was gorgeous and the private beach was so much fun. The staff that assisted us all week was friendly & responsive. We highly recommend this house and all the services the island has to offer!
