With its superb beachfront setting just a 30-minute drive from Phuket airport, Infinity Blue Phuket is a vibrant villa providing a modern, tranquil haven for families or groups. Each of the four en-suite bedrooms is a luxurious retreat with sea or garden views. The endless sands of Natai Beach are just steps away, while the villa's 15-metre pool, well-equipped kitchen, bright living areas and koi-pond gardens offer the epitome of easy-going yet stylish tropical beach living. Infinity Blue is staffed with a full-time housekeeper who also prepares your complimentary daily breakfast; a villa manager is always on call, and a private chef can be arranged to cook tempting Thai and western fare.
Most Phuket visitors tend to gravitate towards the island's busy beach towns, about 40-kilometres to the south of the airport, chock-a-block with 'you-could-be-anywhere' hotels and thousands of sunbathers crowded onto the sand. But travelers in the know take a shorter drive north to the untouched sands of Natai Beach, and, if they're especially savvy, into the elegant realm of Infinity Blue, a haven of peace and contemporary style with its toes in the sand.
Infinity Blue's fresh, bright design sets a calming mood throughout, with crisp grey and white furnishings in soft fabrics and Buddhist themed decor accents. The villa's single-storey pavilions and lush palm-lined gardens form a presence of unobtrusive luxury, fronted by a 15-metre swimming pool and the endless blue of sea and sky that give the villa its name.
No one gets short shrift when it comes to bedroom selection, as all four are similarly spacious and well appointed, and all have private en-suite bathrooms, TVs, comfy chairs and a choice of double or queen beds. Gather in the cozy living area, which shares open-plan space with the dining room and opens to a sea-view terrace furnished for lounging and enjoying alfresco meals. Behind the dining room, a modern kitchen is well equipped for guests who wish to self-cater.
Daily continental breakfast is included in the villa rates and a private chef can be organized to prepare delicious in-villa Thai and western meals served with a personal touch (extra charges apply). A full-time housekeeper keeps the villa spick and span, and a villa manager - while not onsite - is always contactable to help with guest transport, dining reservations, in-villa massage treatments and other requirements.
Just beyond the villa, Natai Beach offers an idyllic playground with its ten-kilometres of soft sands lining the glittering Andaman Sea. And within easy reach are the many delights of Phang Nga, including its karst-dotted bay to explore by boat, jungle parks, waterfalls and scenic rural landscapes of coconut palm plantations and meandering water buffalo. Natai is still very undeveloped compared to most other beach destinations around Phuket, but luxury resorts are starting to pop up within walking distance of the villa, offering upscale choices for dining and sunset cocktails.
Infinity Blue comprises two single-storey pavilions set on a rectangular plot that extends between a quiet road and the beach. Entering from the parking area you first arrive at the Garden Pavilion housing two of the villa's bedrooms; a covered corridor between the bedrooms leads to a tropical walled garden and koi pond. Steps through the garden bring you to the Sea View pavilion, containing two more bedrooms, the kitchen, living and dining areas. At the front of this pavilion is a furnished terrace overlooking the pool and beach.
Infinity Blue's living area is an inviting place to gather, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to the terrace and pool. This air-conditioned space has a calming ambiance with grey sofas and chairs in soft fabrics arranged to face the large TV. Satellite and internet cable service, a DVD player and Bluetooth speaker make it easy to set the mood with movies or music. The living area can be completely opened up at the front to connect it to the terrace and the cooling sea breezes. Just behind is a dining room with sea views and a table for four. The adjacent kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances and plenty of workspace on the black granite counters.
No matter where you choose to relax at Infinity Blue, the soothing sounds of the ocean will form your playlist. Stretching between the villa and beach is the 15-metre pool framed by sand-wash decking and with an outdoor shower. At the front of the living pavilion is a fan-cooled covered terrace furnished with a dining table and sofa, the perfect spot for sundowners or a sea-breezy breakfast. A small Eden of a garden with a koi pond surrounded by palms and tropical plants creates a lush courtyard space between the villaâs two pavilions. At the gated entrance is a car park with space for two vehicles.
