An elegant five-bedroom villa located within a secure and gated estate, Villa Windu Sari is a tranquil haven in the heart of fashionable Petitenget on Bali's southwest coast. Well-suited for family holidays, the villa is set amidst a luscious garden and envelopes an idyllic 14-metre swimming pool with sun loungers to soak in the Balinese sunshine.
Walking distance from Legian Beach and happening restaurants at Seminyak, the villa is fully staffed with professional butlers, a personal Chef and a night security guard right outside the front entrance.
Aptly named, Windu Sari, which loosely translates as ‘a beautiful place in time’ is just that - an oasis of calm and peace where time seems to stand still. From the moment you enter through the traditional Balinese gateway into the garden courtyard, your pulse seems to slow down and the knots in your shoulders magically melt away. Such is the aura of this tranquil paradise. Teakwood and marble dance a well-orchestrated tango in the architecture of this contemporary villa. If you love the outdoors, this is the perfect escape for you, as living and dining spaces merge seamlessly with the tropical garden. Picture fun-filled afternoons where the kids splash around in the swimming pool while you get yourself an enviable tan or relax in the open-sided bale.
Evenings will invariably be spent sipping cocktails in the breezy lounge, the recessed lighting by the pool creating a magical ambiance. Perfect for a family vacation, the two-storey villa has two pavilions, with five en-suite bedrooms in the ‘sleeping pavilion’ and the living and dining areas in the ‘living pavilion’ along with a discreetly positioned, restaurant-standard professional kitchen. Go into Aladdin-mode and ask the Villa Manager for any requests that you may have. Magically, the staff will take care of your every wish as your personal chef conjures up meals that will leave you spellbound.
There will never be a dull moment when you’re holidaying at Windu Sari. With an entertainment terrace, there’s plenty to keep you occupied. If you do venture out, the hip restaurants and famous spas of Seminyak are a short taxi-ride away. Or you could stroll down to Legian beach and witness Bali's iconic sunsets, camera in hand, no less.
A magnificent, open-sided lounge is the centrepiece of Windu Sari, and where you will invariably find yourselves congregating every evening. The soaring shingled roof is complemented by Indian stone walls and a polished marble floor. Dramatically lit by pendulous bamboo hanging lamps, the lounge seamlessly extends into the dining area on one end, where a wooden table comfortably seats 10 to 12 guests in cushioned rattan chairs. A well-equipped kitchen is discreetly tucked away behind the dining area, so that food can be served fresh and hot.
The fifth bedroom can be converted into a media room if required, a favourite amongst young adults who love to gather around the 50" TV to catch the latest blockbuster or groove to the latest tunes on the state-of-the-art Yamaha theatre surround sound system.
While the convertible bedroom/media room is located on the upper level of the living pavilion, the remaining four en-suite double bedrooms take residence in the sleeping pavilion, two on each floor. The rooms are all air-conditioned.
Let your kids wade in the shallow end of the 14-metre swimming pool while you enjoy a massage in the shaded open-sided bale or work on your tan on one of the six sun loungers.
The indoors and outdoors seem to flow into each other with the poolside open-sided living and dining area as well as patios. The sleeping pavilion has a wooden patio connecting the two bedrooms on the first floor, resplendent with daybeds for a bird’s eye view of the action below.
