OVERVIEW

Imagine an idyllic cabin, hidden in the woods, with an expansive open yard, quaint pond and subtle babble from the stream running through the property. Then picture a beautifully renovated home with a brand new addition, ideally located trailside in the Mountain Village core. This is Yellow Brick Cabin, a one of a kind three bed, three bath home that gives guests the sense of absolute seclusion while being only steps away from all the action. Walk the stone path lit by old mining lanterns to the substantial porch and main entrance. Furnished with a Weber outdoor grill and unique handmade twig rockers and chairs, guests can sit with their coffee and bask in the silence of the surrounding forest. Guests can look east and find direct access to Lower Boomerang ski run, the private hot tub, and an old mining car filled to the brim with chopped wood for the wood burning fireplace located just inside the home’s living area. Unlock the door through the heart-shaped keyhole onto a true home away from home. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a flood of light through the skylights in the vaulted ceilings of this grand living, dining, and kitchen area. The addition of modern conveniences and design still give way to tradition in this log cabin with a fireplace to the left of the entrance surrounded by a leather chair and ottoman, comfortable fur carpeting and an overstuffed tweed couch. The open space leads into the kitchen with U-shaped rough granite countertops, high-end stainless steel appliances, including a Viking gas stove, custom SubZero refrigerator, and Cuisinart wine cooler and Krups drip coffee maker as well as custom woodwork cabinets and storage. The dining room table with seating for six sits adjacent to the kitchen allowing for conversation and spectating of the family cook. An additional four stools are placed along the kitchen counter for extra dining space.

To the right of the kitchen, the west wing of the home is a romantic master suite. Gorgeously decorated with an antler detailed mirror, custom cabinets and queen bed, this beautiful room also includes an en suite bathroom with an oversize shower and bench, two shower heads, stone tile accents and dual vanity copper sinks set in granite countertops.

Continuing past the kitchen in the west wing is an additional guest bath serving the split king suite in the loft above, with a glass shower and beautiful stone sink bowl placed on a granite counter with access to the home's full size stacked washer/dryer. The log stairs lead to an open loft with exposed wood beams, vaulted ceilings and a picture frame window showing views of the still pond outside. The split king makes this room adaptable for any stay!

The home’s most recent addition is just past the living room, through a clever entryway with sliding wooden doors into a multi-functional media room. This space is perfected with high-end leather furnishings surrounding a glass table, electric fireplace, and a large TV with SONOS surround sound and Blu-ray player. The west wall houses four custom built-in twin beds with steel ladders and built-in reading lights at each bed, making this space great for any family game or movie night. Opposite the bunks is a full bathroom including an oversize glass shower with bench and a sink with stone and wood accents. Adjacent to the bathroom is the home’s side entrance and mudroom with granite seating and custom cubbies and hooks for skiing and hiking gear. The addition of boot warmers along the bench shows that this quaint little cabin is styled in luxury with every detail.
