Villa Tortuga

OVERVIEW

Villa Tortuga is a five-bedroom beachfront estate in the Punta Bella community of San José del Cabo. Two things make it unusual: it has its own private palapa on the beach, and the entire house is on a single level — no stairs anywhere between the bedrooms, the kitchen, the terrace and the sand. Just under 10,000 square feet for ten guests means the privacy is real rather than advertised.

There are four bedrooms in the main house plus a separate private casita with its own kitchen, each with an en-suite bathroom, and a half bathroom for the common areas. The beds are one King and four Queens. On top of that a playroom has bunk beds for two children, which is why the house sleeps ten adults plus two little ones without anyone improvising.

Outside there is an oceanfront terrace, the private beach palapa, and the sand directly in front. Inside there is a game room and a playroom stocked with toys and books — this is a house built for families rather than for a crowd.
