LOCATION NOTES

Sete is an important port city in the southeast of France, located in Occitania. It is bordered by the Thau lagoon, a saltwater lagoon that is home to various animal species. Along a narrow isthmus, the Mediterranean coast of Sete is made up of sandy beaches. The summit of Mont Saint-Clair offers a view of the city, also called the 'Venice of Languedoc' because of its network of canals. The Paul Valery Museum presents exhibitions on the history of Sete and includes a collection of works of art.

BEACHES
Plage des Quilles
Plage des Quilles is located after the Canal and the Port des Quilles on the Corniche. Very well located, this beautiful beach is protected from the winds by various dikes. So you can enjoy the sun and the sea without your hair go in all directions! Need to refresh yourself or enjoy some local dishes? Restaurants and bars are available near the large pedestrian promenade just to the right of the beach.

Plage de la Corniche
Plage de la Corniches is located near Sete Stadium and the Canal des Quilles. Protected by a large dyke, the beach enjoys a most prestigious landscape. Large expanse of sands and turquoise sea makes this beach one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in Sete! Divided in two, you will find a space completely dedicated to the playgrounds for (small) children with near many restaurants and bars. The second area is reserved for water sports.

Plage du Lazaret
The Plage du Lazaret is the most central beach compared to the port and downtown of Sete. Very well located, it is the opportunity to tan, have fun and swim with ease. Large expanse of fine sand with a sea and azure blue sky practically all year long, the Plage du Lazaret is waiting for you!
