Chateau d'Azur is situated in the Esterel Mountains between Cannes and St. Tropez; just 40 minutes drive from Nice International Airport and 5 minutes from many spacious sandy beaches with excellent sports facilities, plethora of boutiques and restaurants.
• Distance to Nice Airport: 60 km (40 minutes drive)
• Distance to St. Tropez: 60 km (50 minutes drive / 45 minutes by ferry)
• Distance to Cannes: 35 km (25 minutes drive)
• Distance to Valescure Golf & Tennis Club: 3 km
• Distance to the beach: 4 km
Note: The chateau is located 10 minutes’ drive from the Marina of St. Lucia in Saint Raphael, offering a very convenient access to guests travelling by sea. Simon Cowell of X Factor fame and Sir Phillip Green [owner of TopShop] came to Chateau d’Azur, docked their yachts at Port St. Lucia and drove to the Chateau.
There is a Michelin star restaurant in St Raphael "La Terrasse" at a 5 minute drive and course several Michelin star restaurants in Mougins and Cannes at a 20-25 minute drive.
We can recommend a very good guide to take guests on treks in the Esterel mountains and who is also a historian and can take guests to local towns and areas of interest.
There is an excellent selection of vineyards in the area including Chateau St. Roseline with good wines and a beautiful chapel with a Chagall original painting. Next door to this there is a fantastic Michelin starred restaurant "Le Relise des Moines" so this works well for lunch or dinner. St Martin vineyard has an interesting tour and wine tasting and the Chateau Cabran has good reviews too.
Frejus, closest local village has several art galleries and a provencal market on Wednesdays and Saturdays
Excellent art galleries and museums are located at a 20 minute drive.
