Just as Costa Rica provides inspiration as one of the world's protected sanctuaries, abundant in nature's exotic gems. Jade is an inspiring retreat nestled where jungle meets the Pacific at Playa Guiones, a place for exploration of what is natural within ourselves, and the transcendent natural beauty of the flora and fauna that surrounds us there.
This native shelter of teak, concrete and water seamlessly blend with gardens and canopy for an intimate connection between architecture and nature, comfort and inspiration. Interconnected spaces invite the flexible movement of a sensory experience between living and dreaming.
Jade is specifically designed as an intimate retreat to gather the regional beauty of Guanacaste, Costa Rica for families and closed groups desiring a private, yet unobstructed atmosphere.
The seven dwellings of Jade revolve around a celestial garden of water and sky with observatory views of the jungle canopy and the brilliant majesty of the night sky, within steps of one of the most alluring playas on the central Pacific, with constant corduroy of effervescent waves against white, diamond dust sand.
Created by architect Donald Loria Prendas, the five free-standing master suites are arranged around the covered Yoga pavilion and large swimming pool which also serves as a soothing water feature.
Jade sleeps 18 and is intended for families and closed groups desiring a private, yet unobstructed atmosphere.
The maximum occupancy is strictly enforced. If you anticipate the possibility of having a group that exceeds the occupancy stated for this accommodation, then you should either book different accommodations that allow for a higher occupancy, or book additional accommodations (such as a second condo or villa). Guests who exceed the stated occupancy will be evicted with no refund for the unused portion of their stay.
Unlike most coastal tourist towns, nearby Nosara lacks nearly any development directly on the beach as much of it consists of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge (necessitated by the presence of breeding Olive Ridley and Leatherback sea turtle populations). Nosara is also a surfing destination and the location of a world-renowned yoga school.
The town center of Nosara is located six kilometers inland from the beach. Within Nosara is the market, pharmacy, post office, churches, school, police station, public library and Red Cross clinic (Nosara lacks a hospital facility). There is a Banco Popular branch located in the small commercial area near Playa Guiones.
There are four main oceanfront communities each named after their respective beaches: Playa Nosara, Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, and Playa Ostional. These comprise the largest areas of foreign-owned residences, hotels, and restaurants, centered around Guiones and Pelada. The 'suburb'Esperanza de Nosara borders the Playa Guiones area, sitting between its first two beach entrances to the south. Esperanza hosts the Guiones area's largest market, a school and soccer (football) field, and a few new housing developments, hotels, and restaurants.
