A seed is something that you nurture and love, it blossoms right before your eyes into something extraordinary yet unbelievably simple. At Villa La Semilla we believe in simple beauty and simple pleasures, respect for all living creatures and the quiet brilliance of nature and also we encourage guests the slow approach to life where quiet moments with nature allow you to disconnect with the busy, fast-paced world and reconnect with the earth, each other, and yourself.
Situated between the lush, green mangrove jungle and a secluded beach of Soliman Bay, Villa La Semilla has been created to live harmoniously with nature and guests can savor a unique experience with the support and service that is synonymous with the La Semilla brand. An eco-friendly and internationally renowned destination that combines rustic with luxury, and natural beauty with simplicity. The word is out about Tulum, a once-unknown beach town that has managed to maintain its quiet charm, despite its growing popularity, much of it due to its otherworldly beach quality. Overlooking the golden sand, of course, are the Mayan ruins, perched on a rocky cliff and watching over all the surrounding natural wonders.
HOTEL ZONE - TULUM BEACH
It is difficult to picture what lies behind the jungle curtain that hides the hotel zone of Tulum, but discovering it is like opening the doors to a barefoot, hippie wonderland. Flanked by the gorgeous coastal ruins of Tulum one side and the Biosphere of Sian Ka'an on the other, this stretch of the Riviera Maya beach caters to those who prefer upscale luxury with a boho edge, great beaches, natural living and the option of chill nighttime entertainment. You can also shop in funky boutiques selling unique art and fashion - like maxi dresses and flow, yoga-friendly everything - and eat the best of modern Mexican cuisine.
TULUM TOWN
Venture from the beaches of Tulum and the hotel zone (perhaps by bike) to the other side of the highway and into the town itself and you will be rewarded. Sure, you’ll find the same tourist shops selling tacky souvenirs, but spend a few minutes exploring smaller streets and you’ll also discover artisanal bakeries, local ice cream shops, shady parks, and delicious, hole-in-the-wall restaurants you’ll want to return to again and again. Think tacos el pastor for under a buck and authentic, refreshing horchata. This is the way Mexicans live and they will be happy to welcome you for a visit.
15 minutes to Tulum, restaurants and the grocery store.
35 minutes to Playa del Carmen.
