To enter BVI you need a valid passport. A tourist visa is not required if you’re travelling from the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. Visitors from other countries may require a valid tourist visa. You may also need to show proof of accommodation upon entry.
BVI’s main airport is Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) on Beef Island, Tortola. Flying here is the easiest way to reach BVI.
Travellers may also choose to fly into Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas, USVI, and take a ferry to Tortola. Ferries are also available from St. John and from Puerto Rico. The ferry from USVI takes about 1 hour, while the ferry from Puerto Rico takes 1.5-2 hours.

Shoulder season in BVI runs from May-July and September-November. For some, shoulder season will be the best time to visit BVI. The weather at this time is still great, but there is increased humidity. There’s also a higher chance of showers in the afternoons. Tourist numbers are down, though, and deals are better.
