If you’re anything like me, then there’s nothing you like more than staring at pictures of beautiful villas all day (thankfully, in my case, it’s part of my job, and not a justifiable reason for dismissal). But, like going from silent film to talkies, there comes a point where the old form of media just doesn’t cut it anymore. Such is quickly becoming the case with villa video tours replacing pictures in listings, which is why we’re proud to announce the launch of our new Rental Escapes YouTube page!
As the clip above attests too, villa video tours let you notice things about a villa that pictures alone never could. For example, I always knew that Mes Amis had a dramatic hot tub, but I never knew how dramatic until seeing the video. Another example is Sandyline – I thought I knew that villa inside-out, but I never knew you could press a button to open and close the shades. It’s little details like that which give such a clearer picture of the experience you can have at a villa, but because there are so many of them (and some, like the curtains, depend on capturing motion), you can really only convey them through video.
But, it’s not just the super-high end villas which benefit from this kind of exposure. On our YouTube page, you’ll see video tours for villas in all price ranges, and each one has at least one little special surprise that you wouldn’t have known about by just browsing an ordinary listing. Often, these special surprises add up to create an ambience that makes a villa truly unique, like Emvie in Orient Bay. Renters always rave about how stylish it is, and while you can see that in the photos, the video shows how fabulously cohesive the architecture and the interior and exterior designs are (by the way, in case you’re wondering why we put our Saint Martin villa tours up first, it’s because we’re running a “Pay for 5, Stay for 7 Night” promo on 14 of our most popular villas on the island – feel free to contact us for more info!). That’s why villa owners and property management companies all over are lining up to have video content specialists create these tours for them, and why renters are increasingly turning to tours as their main point of information about villas.
Until virtual reality villa tours using 3D headsets become a reality (and, just to give you a heads up, plenty of companies are already experimenting with VR tours of villas), these videos are the next best thing to showing up on an island to tour the villa yourself. On that note, though, our page will also have plenty of videos of fun excursion activities too, so you’ll also be able to get a better feel for what that yacht charter or diving excursion will be like before you book. Information is power, and the more our travellers know about the experiences they can expect, the more excited they get for them, so be sure to subscribe to our channel – our next video may just inspire a new bucket list entry!
